Not a full kit necessarily, but there are plenty of different percussion instruments to learn on. This is also a great age to start learning to play the drums. Larger brass instruments for bigger kids closer to age 12 would be an option as well. In fact, learning to sing is a vital part of understanding music overall. These students can start guitar or ukulele as well as sing.
